The gorgeous summer peaches and nectarines flood our farmers’ stands with sweet perfume. These potassium rich jewels have many varieties… white, yellow, freestone and hybrids. Choose the heaviest and most fragrant and remember that the white varieties will not keep as long as others. I prefer nectarines to peaches when baking just because I can remove the peel with a potato peeler. (more…)
