A New Year for Exercise!

Let the New Year be filled with new exercise opportunities! You can actually slow down the aging process, improve your health, and decrease your stress by sampling some of the activities listed below:

Cardiovascular

  • Benefits: Healthier heart and lungs, improved circulation, elevated energy level, burns calories.
  • Examples: Walking, running, swimming, rowing, stair climbing, water aerobics, elliptical, biking.

Strengthening

  • Benefits: Increases muscle mass, strengthens bones and muscles, tones muscles, burns calories.
  • Examples: Free weights, strengthening machines, resistance bands, strengthening and toning classes.

Agility Activities

  • Benefits: Better balance and coordination, burns calories.
  • Examples: Tennis, skating, dancing, karate, kick boxing, aerobics.
