Red Bell Peppers

Red bell peppers taste great grilled, sauteed in teriyaki sauce, or served in slices with the Cucumber Cheese Spread recipe.

Nutrition Facts:

  • Excellent Source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C
  • Good Source of Beta Carotene
  • 25 calories per cup

Selection, Storage and Preparation Tips:

  • Look for ones that are firm, glossy, have green stems and unwrinkled skins.
  • Store sweet peppers unwashed in a plastic bag in the refrigerator for 3 – 4 days.
  • To prepare, cut red pepper in half and remove the seeds and bitter white pith, wash and dry then cut into slices or chunks.

Recipe:
Serve Red Bell Pepper slices with the Cucumber Cheese Spread recipe.
